Our parks have long been a place of recreation and relaxation. In 2025 we’re expanding our wellness programs to help you achieve your health and fitness goals, no matter where you are on your wellness journey.
Whether you’re looking to kickstart a new fitness routine or explore fresh ways to keep your workouts exciting, our 2025 schedule will offer something for everyone. With new classes and activities, along with some returning favorites, you’ll find opportunities to move, unwind, and connect with nature.
2025 Wellness Programming Highlights
4 Additional 5K Runs
We’re expanding our popular 5K Twinkle Trot to give you four more opportunities to get moving. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just starting out, these runs will be a fun and motivating way to stay active throughout the year.
Tai Chi
Embrace the gentle art of Tai Chi, an ancient practice that combines slow, deliberate movements with deep breathing. Ideal for reducing stress, improving balance, and enhancing mental clarity, Tai Chi will be offered in various settings around the parks.
Pilates & Strength Classes
Strengthen your core, improve your posture, and increase flexibility with our Pilates and Strength sessions. These classes will be tailored to different skill levels and will help you improve both your fitness and mental well-being.
Pool Pilates (Indoor & Outdoor)
Take your Pilates practice to the pool! Our innovative Pool Pilates classes will be held both indoors and outdoors, providing a unique way to improve strength, balance, and flexibility while enjoying the calming effects of water.
Paddleboard Yoga
Combine the serenity of yoga with the challenge of paddleboarding on the water. Paddleboard Yoga will be offered at various times throughout the year, giving you the chance to practice mindfulness and strength on the water.
Archery Series
Discover the focus and discipline of archery in our new series. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced archer, this program will help you improve concentration, coordination, and strength.
Morning Movement Walks
Start your day with a gentle walk in the fresh morning air. These walks are designed to encourage movement and mindfulness while you connect with nature. It’s the perfect way to energize your body and clear your mind.
Nature Hikes
Explore the natural beauty of Oglebay and Wheeling Park on guided nature hikes. These hikes will take you through scenic trails, with opportunities to learn about the local flora and fauna while getting a great workout.
Kettlebell Workouts
Kettlebell training is a fantastic way to build strength, endurance, and coordination. These classes will guide you through dynamic, full-body workouts that challenge both your cardiovascular system and muscular endurance.
Cycling

Visit with Body Bar
Our collaboration with Body Bar will bring additional fitness classes focused on bodyweight exercises, strength training, and mobility. These sessions will offer variety and intensity to keep you motivated.
