Friends of Oglebay is an organization of people who share a pride that Oglebay and Wheeling Park are unique and extraordinary. As members, the group helps keep our parks accessible and preserved for everyone forever.

Friends are a growing group of dedicated people who show their support in a number of ways. Some volunteer and some contribute financially. Whatever their involvement, these people are giving back to the parks and to the Ohio Valley community in a meaningful way.

While some friends designate their financial contributions to specific programs in the park system (Access to the Parks), many are left undesignated and can be used at the discretion of park officials. This base of unrestricted support makes up the annual fund and the funds can be used where they are most immediately needed or where opportunities are the greatest.

Benefits

Friends receive periodic newsletters with special information, calendar of events, and reports of progress at the parks. There are also special invitations and bonuses throughout the year, which only Friends receive.
